Riverwalk Recreation Center

Located on the banks of the Pecos River, this three-story facility is one of Carlsbad’s most inviting family destinations. The center offers a wide variety of recreational activity rooms and multi-purpose spaces designed for all ages.

Admission: No charge for public activities.

Indoor Facilities by Floor

• 1st Floor: Features a fitness center, racquetball courts, and a half-court basketball area. The game room includes pool tables, Foosball, ping-pong, and a big-screen TV. Arts and crafts programs are also hosted here.

• 2nd Floor: Home to the Tottenhoff Activity Room, which hosts various exercise classes (note: this room is not available for private rental).

• 3rd Floor: A versatile space featuring a full basketball court. This level is utilized for pickle-ball, soccer, volleyball, cheer practices, and meetings.

The Power House

Located off the main floor, this unique two-level brick and wood facility features a loft overlooking a spacious common area and a covered pier offering beautiful views of the Pecos River.

Outdoor Facilities & Programs

• Outdoor Amenities: Includes a skate park, hockey rink, and the "Project Playground."

• Programs: Residents can enjoy ESL courses, exercise classes, cooking basics, movie nights, and occasional open skate nights at the hockey rink.
