Located on the grounds of the Carlsbad Public Library and Carlsbad Museum, Halagueño Arts Park is a unique outdoor gathering space that celebrates art, culture, history, and community in the heart of Carlsbad.
The park is situated within a historically and culturally significant area of the community and features artwork, sculptures, and landscaping that create an inviting setting for residents and visitors. The recently installed History Garden provides an additional opportunity to explore and learn about Carlsbad’s history while enjoying the park.
Designed for both everyday enjoyment and community events, Halaguñno Arts Park features benches, tables, shaded areas, outdoor stages, and a variety of public art throughout. The space provides an ideal setting for cultural events, performances, markets, celebrations, and other community activities.
An Advisory Board helps guide the ongoing maintenance, improvements, and use of the park, supporting its continued development as a vibrant community gathering space.
Over the years, Halagueño Arts Park has hosted a variety of community events, including Movies in the Park, Heritage Days, Art in the Park, Night of Lights, and the Carlsbad Downtown Farmers and Makers Market.
The City of Carlsbad encourages the use of Halagueño Arts Park for events and activities that promote arts, culture, history, and community engagement and align with the park's mission.
