Lisa A. Anaya-Flores

Lisa A. Anaya-Flores

Hello, please permit me to introduce myself. My name is Lisa Ann Anaya Flores. I am a lifelong resident of Carlsbad. I am married to David R. Flores; I have three sons, Ramon, Giovanni, and Genarro, two grandchildren, Nyallie and Xavier Anaya, and one brother, Pete L. Anaya. I have worked for the Carlsbad Municipal School District for nineteen years. I have always had a desire to serve my community at the governmental level. With the love, support, and encouragement of my parents, (the late) Pete M. Anaya and my Mom, Flora A. Anaya, the fire was kindled within me. I also had another positive influence and source of encouragement that I looked to, my uncle, (the late) Ray Anaya.

I serve as an appointed commissioner to the Solid Waste Board. I am a member of The Neighborhood Association Group which is working to address the issues within Ward One. Although I am representing Ward One, I think it is important to view the city council as a cohesive team whose ultimate goal is the betterment of our community as a whole.
