The City of Carlsbad has been in the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan, a 20-year framework for how the City should grow and develop, since October 2018. This last public meeting on the Comprehensive Plan Update will be facilitated by the City’s consultant, Consensus Planning, and will include a presentation on the draft Comprehensive Plan prior to its adoption by the City Council.
The public meeting will be held at the Carlsbad Council Chambers located at 114 S. Halagueno Street on Tuesday, October 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The meeting will include a presentation on the draft plan, which includes sections on housing and neighborhoods, land use, economic development, transportation, community facilities and services, infrastructure, hazard mitigation, and implementation. There will be time for questions and comments after the presentation. The public is encouraged to review the plan on the City’s website, www.cityofcarlsbadnm.com, prior to the public meeting.
