The Carlsbad Water Park is pleased to welcome Luke Garza as its new assistant manager.
Garza is a 2012 graduate from Carlsbad High School and a 2016 graduate of New Mexico State University. He will assist Park Manager Brad Alpers with the day to day operation of the Carlsbad Water Park, which is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, starting Memorial Day Weekend.
Gaza previously worked with the Carlsbad Municipal Library and assisted his father with running the family business, Guadalupe Pest Control.
“I think this is great for the City of Carlsbad,” Garza said after his first day at the water park. “The kids are all telling me this is the best day ever.”
Garza holds certification in CPR and First Aid. He said he is committed to keeping the Carlsbad Water Park in great condition to service the citizens of Carlsbad and visitors.
