Parks Highway
Lighting
The
City of Carlsbad has started the preliminary construction work to
install overhead street lighting along National Parks Highway from
San Jose Blvd to Terminal Drive . Over 75 light poles will be installed
on both the east and west sides of National Parks to provide illumination
for night traffic. The lighting will enhance safety for both vehicles
and pedestrians traveling on National Parks Highway as well as comply
with the “Night Sky Protection Act” that requires illumination below
the horizontal.
