Mrs. Nunley was born and raised in Carlsbad.  Her parents Whit and Leona Smith were long time residents of Carlsbad.   Her father retired from the Potash Company of America after working there for over 43 years.  Her mother was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary.

 Mrs. Nunley graduated form Carlsbad Senior High School in 1971.  She received her Bachelor's Degree in education from New Mexico State University and earned a Masters' Degree in Mid-Level Management from the University of Houston - Clear Lake.  Mrs. Nunley has been in the education field for over 34 years and is currently the principal at Eddy Elementary School.

 Mrs. Nunley is married to Van Nunley and and they have two children and a granddaughter.  Van Nunley Jr. is employed at the CARC farm as a vocational instructor.  Their daughter Sarah is a graduate student at Arizona State University.

J.R. Doporto

 J.R.  Doporto was born in 1979 and raised in Carlsbad, NM. He attended Carlsbad schools and graduated in 1998. After school J.R. worked along his father in the copier business getting certifications from Canon, Toshiba, Lanier and Xerox training centers around the country. In the copier years he worked mostly on the WIPP project providing technical service. In 2009 he was asked to join the Technical Support team on the WIPP project and has since moved to Network and System Operations. He is married to Rebecca Doporto RN. She works at Carlsbad Medical Center. They have 3 lovely kids Jalynn 14, Dylan 10, and Jaya 1.

 He is a member of Oasis Christian Fellowship, a member of the Elk's Club, J.R. enjoys hunting, camping, cooking, coaching Little League Baseball, spending time with his children.
