The Carlsbad Public Library is partnering once again with the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens State Park as our sale space. We are in need of strong volunteers from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Friday, February 14, to help set up the tables and move boxes of books.
The purpose of the sale is to help pay for the library’s annual summer reading program, which serves thousands of young library visitors and their families every June and July. Not only do we offer this program to help kids maintain and improve their reading skills during summer vacation, but we also hire many family-friendly professional performers who bring magic, storytelling, puppetry, music and more to our community, at no cost to those who attend the shows.
